Holiday retail trends show spending is alive and well… let’s support the creators this holiday season!
Recently Deloitte complied data to reveal that the holiday spirit is alive and well; for consumers who still plan to purchase gifts!

The Creator Economy is alive and growing in 2022. That’s precisely what trends show, and the global influencing market is expected to reach $16.4 Billion. The challenge for creators is to become visible online and get people to visit their blog, website, channel, or store. I’ve interviewed many creators over the past few years, and as a creator myself, for a decade, it has been a journey that no one else understands except other creators. It’s hard to wear many hats; Head of Marketing, Lead Sales Rep, Content Creator, Video Editor, Photo Editor, Web Designer, and more are all roles that ONE person does all by themselves. It’s hard. So, on that note, let’s support the fantastic creators who make the world a better, more fun, and enjoyable place.
Creators make music, movies, art, games, cards, and more! Without them, life would be boring, a series of ticks or checkboxes that allow you to set goals, stay inside a “box,” and then get a paycheck. Creatives look at the world differently. As a photographer, I have spent much time, money, and effort developing my creative skills. Regarding my graphic design skills, I’m 100% self-taught. I don’t have a degree in design, yet I create designs daily for my business and clients.
When I exhibited artwork, I used to spend a lot of time printing photographs, framing them, packing them, taking them to a location, hanging them, and then offering an “open house” for people to come and visit the artwork while I was there, in addition, I hired a musician to play while I entertained.
This design skill in my early days looked a lot different than today. Now, we have excellent tools like Canva to make graphics, but I was doing this kind of work in Photoshop before all the new “shiny tools” that make it possible for everyone to build a well-designed marketing piece.
As a creative, I respect the work it takes to be brave enough to share your creations with the world, even harder when the world doesn’t value your work monetarily. Today, let’s show them support. This year, let’s support a creative! Who do you know that is doing innovative work? With a gift guide for community builders, this article has been crafted and designed to offer unique gifts you might need to learn about while supporting the creators who make our world so colorful.
Thanks for your support!

If you’re feeling defeated as you build an online community, you’re not alone. Most new community builders have big ideas, but they struggle to launch them.
Tech options are overwhelming, approaching your audience takes courage, and scaling a business doesn’t come easily. Meanwhile, you may be missing out on income you could earn by launching faster, growing sooner, and creating transformation for your members.
Hi, I’m Deb Schell. I started my community to solve a problem I’d once struggled with myself. (Sound familiar?) For me, that problem was the anxiety and frustration I experienced when I launched my first community . . . to the silence of crickets. It felt like a failure.
Now, I consult with purpose-driven community builders. Together, we find calm in the process of building, launching, and growing their own online communities.
But my clients aren’t just here to turn a quick buck. They have a solution their people need, and they’re committed to making a real difference in their lives. Bringing these leaders together is my mission, which evolved from my 20-year career as a writer, creator, and designer.

I met Heath Armstrong a few years ago and love the Sweet-Ass Affirmations he’s created.
Heath Armstrong is a Creative Maniac Writer and Entrepreneurial Starseed. He is the author of several Sweet-Ass Journals and Sweet-Ass Affirmation Decks and the Never Stop Peaking podcast host. After waking up face-down-pants-down in his garage during a rock-bottom breakdown, Heath adopted the strategies of 100+ creative entrepreneurs that he started interviewing around the world with the help of a few magical strangers.
In 2016, Heath retired from his traditional ‘career’ in concrete construction, sold all his belongings, and pursued learning e-commerce from Jason while mainly wearing undies. Since then, he has worked location-independent from over twenty countries, summited the world’s largest free-standing volcano, survived rafting the Nile River, witnessed exorcisms in Indonesia, and fallen in love with the culture and experience of East African digital education for children.
