The question I am asked most frequently is if I’ve found that people are willing to pay for access to an online community and my answer is always yes. How much? That depends on the host of the community, the members, and the problems that the community solves.
I’ll share a few steps I took to apply for this grant, which will not be awarded for a few months, so I can’t say that this is a “winning” strategy yet, but I’ll let you know.
Using the notes, feedback, and observing your “ideal members” during interviews, surveys, or focus groups, you can take that data to put together what you’ve learned for what will work for your community structure.
