3:57: Dale introduces himself and explains how he built Good Gigs, a platform championing mission-driven companies that address several social issue areas. He also interviews social entrepreneurs in his podcast, Good Makers.
11:02: Using the platform Circle, Dale recommends spending a lot of time with which platform you will use. Community builders using Circle stated it was continuously launching new features, listening to feedback, and also has its community to troubleshoot and get support.
19:41: I think if you’re a builder if you’re a creator if you’re a community builder, an entrepreneur, go to the forums. Go to Google, go to YouTube. Whatever you’re trying to learn, the answer is already there.
22:14: Deb and Dale talk about the launch of Good Gigs. Dale had a part-time community manager with 30-, 60-, and 90-day plans, as well as a cohort entry system. He advises continuing to show up, not quitting too early, and changing your features to fit the community’s needs.
26:26: It is my favorite time of the week. I get to have these really awesome conversations with awesome people who are down with the mission of Good Gigs. These are my people. They want a meaningful career, and they care about impact. And I’m able to have these conversations…
